By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – France's Agence France Trésor (AFT) on Monday raised €7.196 billion through auctions of four Treasury bills (BTFs).
The agency allotted €598 million of an 11-week BTF due December 16, 2026 at a weighted average rate of 2.580%. The auction attracted €2.345 billion in bids, resulting in a bid-to-cover ratio of 3.92.
AFT also sold €3.398 billion of a 14-week BTF due January 6, 2027 at a weighted average rate of 2.700%. Demand totaled €6.650 billion, for a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.96.
In addition, it allotted €1.8 billion of a 27-week BTF due April 7, 2027 at a weighted average rate of 2.920%. Bids amounted to €4.890 billion, for a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.72.
Finally, the agency sold €1.4 billion of a 49-week BTF due September 8, 2027 at a weighted average rate of 3.240%. The auction attracted €3.510 billion in orders, producing a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.51.
Settlement for all four lines is scheduled for September 30, 2026.
The amounts issued may be increased through non-competitive bids (NCT2), scheduled for September 29, 2026, AFT said in a statement.
