By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – Italy's Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) on Tuesday raised €8 billion through the syndicated sale of a new 12-year Green BTP.
The transaction follows Monday’s announcement of the appointment of Barclays, BNP Paribas, Deutsche Bank, Intesa Sanpaolo, J.P. Morgan and Société Générale to manage the syndication of the new Green BTP.
The bond was reoffered at a price of 99.591, corresponding to a gross annual yield of 4.492%.
The bond, due on October 30, 2038, carries a 4.40% coupon, paid semi-annually, and has an accrual date of September 29, 2026.
Settlement is scheduled for September 29, 2026.
