By Marta Vilar – MADRID (Econostream) – European Central Bank Governing Council member Joachim Nagel said on Tuesday that the monetary policy decision the ECB is expected to take on September 10 was “relatively predictable.”
Speaking on the sidelines of the G20 meeting in Asheville, US, Nagel, who heads the Deutsche Bundesbank, said Tuesday’s flash Eurozone inflation data contained “good news,” pointing to declines in both core and services inflation.
“We’re not yet seeing second-round effects in the core inflation rate,” he said.
