By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – Italy's Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) on Wednesday sold €3 billion of a new short-term Treasury bond (BTP Short Term), according to results released by the Bank of Italy.

The 3% BTP Short Term due October 30, 2028 attracted bids totaling €4.732 billion, resulting in a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.58.

The bond was allotted at a price of 100.01, with a gross yield of 3.02%, up 10bp from the previous BTP Short Term auction held on July 28, 2026.

Settlement is scheduled for August 28, 2026.
