By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – The UK Debt Management Office (DMO) on Wednesday allotted £1.50 billion of the 1⅛% index-linked Treasury Gilt 2035.
The striking real clean price was £94.964, corresponding to a real yield of 1.725% and an inflation-adjusted clean price of £101.009408, based on an index ratio of 1.06366.
Total bids amounted to £5.060 billion, resulting in a bid-to-cover ratio of 3.37.
Of the total amount sold, £1.275 billion was allotted to competitive bids and £225 million to non-competitive bids.
The DMO said an additional amount of up to £375 million of the stock will be available to successful bidders for purchase at the non-competitive allotment price.
