By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – Italy’s Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) on Wednesday sold €8 billion of 12-month Treasury bills (BOT), according to data released by the Bank of Italy.
The bills, maturing on August 13, 2027, were sold at a weighted average price of 97.277 and a weighted average simple yield of 2.768%, up 8bp from the previous auction held on July 9, 2026.
Bids totaled €11.572 billion, resulting in a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.45.
Settlement was scheduled for August 14, 2026.
