By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – Germany’s Finance Agency (Finanzagentur) on Wednesday allotted a total of €1.95 billion across the reopenings of two federal bonds (Bunds). 

The agency allotted €887 million of the 1% federal bond due May 15, 2038, at a weighted average price of 78% and an average yield of 3.29%. Total bids reached €1.780 billion, resulting in a bid-to-cover ratio of 2. 

The reopening increased the issue's total volume to €33.25 billion from €32.25 billion. The federal government retained €113 million for its own account. 

The agency also allotted €1.063 billion of the 1.80% federal bond due August 15, 2053, at a weighted average price of 68.56% and an average yield of 3.65%. Total bids amounted to €1.407 billion, resulting in a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.3. 

The reopening increased the issue's total volume to €36.50 billion from €35.00 billion. The federal government retained €437 million for its own account.
