By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – Germany’s Finance Agency (Finanzagentur) on Wednesday allotted €1.708 billion of two reopened federal bonds (Bunds).
The agency allotted €806 million of the federal bond maturing May 15, 2041, from total bids of €1.459 billion. The weighted average price was 90.17, the bid-to-cover ratio was 1.8 and the average yield was 3.46%.
The reopening increased the outstanding volume of the issue to €25 billion from €24 billion. The federal government retained €194 million for its own account.
Finanzagentur also allotted €902 million of the federal bond due May 15, 2047, from total bids of €2.110 billion. The weighted average price was 97.14, the bid-to-cover ratio was 2.3 and the average yield was 3.60%.
The reopening increased the outstanding volume of the issue to €11.5 billion from €10.5 billion. The federal government retained €98 million for its own account.
The value date for both lines is July 24, 2026.
