By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – Ireland’s National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) on Thursday sold €1.25 billion of benchmark government bonds maturing in 2036 and 2055.

The NTMA sold €800 million of its 3.1% Treasury Bond due June 18, 2036 at a yield of 3.242%. Total bids amounted to €1.578 billion, resulting in a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.97.

The agency also sold €450 million of its 3.15% Treasury Bond due October 18, 2055 at a yield of 3.822%. Total bids reached €726 million, corresponding to a bid-to-cover ratio of 1.61.

With the auction, the NTMA has issued €9.5 billion of benchmark bonds so far in 2026.
