By Laura Contemori - ROME (Econostream) - Agence France Trésor (AFT) on Monday allotted €7.996 billion of short-term bills at its Treasury bill (BTF) auction.
AFT sold €500 million of a 12-week BTF maturing August 26, 2026, €3.199 billion of a 13-week BTF maturing September 2, 2026, €2.099 billion of a 28-week BTF maturing December 16, 2026, and €2.198 billion of a 50-week BTF maturing May 20, 2027.
Total bids amounted to €25.816 billion. Bid-to-cover ratios ranged from a minimum of 2.80 to a maximum of 6.49.
The 12-week BTF was allotted at a marginal rate of 2.255%, the 13-week at 2.295%, the 28-week at 2.445% and the 50-week at 2.595%.
Weighted average rates were 2.254% for the 12-week bill, 2.289% for the 13-week, 2.440% for the 28-week and 2.588% for the 50-week.
Settlement for all four lines was scheduled for June 3, 2026.
The amount issued may be increased through non-competitive bids 2 (NCT2) which will take place on June 2, 2026.
