By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – Agence France Trésor (AFT) issued €8.194 billion of fixed-rate discount Treasury bills (BTFs) on Monday, close to the top of its indicated €6.6 billion to €8.2 billion range, with bids covering the amount served about 3.9 times.
AFT allotted €3.396 billion of 13-week BTFs maturing August 5, 2026, €498 million of 14-week BTFs maturing August 12, 2026, €2.100 billion of 28-week BTFs maturing November 18, 2026, and €2.200 billion of 50-week BTFs maturing April 21, 2027.
Total bids reached €31.632 billion versus €8.194 billion allotted, implying an aggregate bid-to-cover ratio of 3.86.
The 13-week BTF cleared at a weighted average yield of 2.219% and a marginal rate of 2.225%, with a bid-to-cover ratio of 2.74. Some 58.93% of the amount was allotted at the marginal rate.
The 14-week BTF cleared at a weighted average yield of 2.226% and a marginal rate of 2.230%, with a bid-to-cover ratio of 6.68. Some 24.68% of the amount was allotted at the marginal rate.
The 28-week BTF cleared at a weighted average yield of 2.476% and a marginal rate of 2.480%, with a bid-to-cover ratio of 4.88. A total of 87.64% was allotted at the marginal rate.
The 50-week BTF cleared at a weighted average yield of 2.670% and a marginal rate of 2.675%, with a bid-to-cover ratio of 3.98. The share allotted at the marginal rate was 34.52%.
Settlement for all four lines was scheduled for May 6, 2026.
