Ireland’s NTMA Plans €10–14 Billion in Bond Issuance for 2026

9 December 2025

By David Barwick – FRANKFURT (Econostream) – Ireland’s National Treasury Management Agency on Tuesday said it plans to issue €10 billion to €14 billion of bonds in 2026.

The agency will publish quarterly statements outlining auction plans and intends to conduct at least one syndicated bond deal during the year.

The NTMA said it does not expect to issue Treasury Bills in 2026, citing the continued strength of the Exchequer funding position.

“The €10 billion to €14 billion bond funding range we are announcing today for 2026 reflects the €15 billion in debt maturities next year,” said Dave McEvoy, Director of Funding and Debt Management. “The strong Exchequer funding position means we are well positioned entering 2026.”
