By David Barwick – FRANKFURT (Econostream) – European Central Bank Governing Council member Mārtiņš Kazāks on Friday voiced his approval of the ECB’s current monetary policy stance.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Kazāks, who heads Latvijas Banka, called the present stance “very appropriate,” with interest rates at a neutral level.

“I don’t think there is any kind of bias at the moment necessary,” he was reported by the agency to have said when asked about the direction of the next rate move.
