By Marta Vilar – MADRID (Econostream) – European Central Bank Governing Council member Yannis Stournaras said on Friday that the ECB would ease monetary policy further next month and then hold.

In a joint interview with Bank of Finland Governor Olli Rehn in Greek newspaper Kathimerini, Stournaras, who heads the Bank of Greece, said, ‘I believe we will cut interest rates one more time in June and then I see a pause.’

The ECB should stick to its meeting-by-meeting, data-dependent approach, he said.
