By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – The Bank of Italy’s €-coin indicator, a measure of underlying Eurozone economic growth, declined to 0.39 in June from 0.45 in May, according to a joint release by the Bank of Italy and the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) on Thursday.

The indicator continued to reflect weak confidence among both firms and consumers.

In June 2025, €-coin stood at 0.26.

€-coin provides a real-time estimate of current Eurozone economic conditions, expressed as quarterly GDP growth after stripping out more erratic components such as seasonality, measurement errors and short-term volatility.

The next €-coin releases are scheduled for August 4 and September 2, 2026, to be confirmed.
