By Marta Vilar – MADRID (Econostream) – European Central Bank Governing Council member Madis Müller on Friday suggested that there were strong arguments in favor of an interest rate hike in June.

Müller, who heads the Eesti Pank, told Bloomberg Adria that “there’s a good case to be made” for monetary policy tightening on June 11.

“One should be concerned about such inflationary pressures becoming more persistent or more permanent,” he said.
