By Laura Contemori – ROME (Econostream) – The UK Debt Management Office (DMO) said on Tuesday it will auction £1.25 billion of 0⅛% Index-linked Treasury Gilt 2031 on May 19.

The bond, maturing August 10, 2031, will be issued via a uniform-price auction and settled on May 20. The gilt will be fungible with previous issues of the line.

Following the auction, the nominal outstanding amount of the gilt will rise to £16.504 billion, corresponding to an index-adjusted outstanding volume of £23.056 billion.

"[T]his auction will be eligible for the Post Auction Option Facility of an additional amount of the Gilt equivalent to 25% of the nominal amount of the Gilt allocated at the auction,” the DMO said in a statement.

The next interest payment was scheduled for August 10, 2026. The index ratio at May 20, 2026 was set at 1.39699.
