By Marta Vilar – MADRID (Econostream) – European Central Bank Governing Council member Gediminas Šimkus said on Friday that the ECB should keep all doors open for future meetings and declined to comment on further moves.

In an interview with Lithuanian radio LRT, Šimkus, who heads the Bank of Lithuania, said that “[t]he overall situation shows that risks to inflation are quite significant: geopolitical tensions, uncertainties regarding tariffs, trade tensions.”

A strong euro would significantly impact inflation to the downside, he said.
